Can you believe how fast this school year is going? We are nearing the end of the school year and if you are graduating soon with your teaching degree, CONGRATULATIONS! 🎉 I am so excited for you to begin your first year as a teacher in the fall.

The first year of teaching is so memorable and exciting, but also challenging. Nothing can fully prepare you for the realities and responsibilities of having your own classroom but there are things that you can do to prepare yourself for being solely in charge of your own classroom. Shifting from student to teacher is a big leap, but I am sharing some tips to help you feel successful and confident as you head into your first year of teaching.

There are some big differences between being a student teacher and a classroom teacher and a lot of them have to do with the amount of responsibility placed on you. In order to help you make this transition, I am sharing 10 key differences between student teaching and being a classroom teacher and what you can do now to prepare for the changes ahead.

In this episode, I share ways to prepare for managing parents, managing your mindset, classroom management, having less support, building professional relationships, planning and preparing lessons, and more.
