Show Notes:
I remember the summer before my first teaching job and feeling nervous and unprepared on the tasks I actually needed to get completed before my students arrived on the first day. Even though I had just graduated from my education program, there were still aspects of a real classroom that I hadn’t grasped or knew how to handle on my own. I kept wishing for a place or program that had everything available to me to help me feel prepared and fill the gaps from college to a real classroom.
That’s why I eventually created my R.E.A.D.Y. for School Academy. I wanted a program where beginning teachers could go to learn practical tips and strategies and begin to create a streamlined classroom. With college teaching the philosophy and theoretical side of education, I found it important to focus on real classroom aspects such as classroom management, parent communication, dealing with behavioral students, and developing procedures, routines, and classroom expectations. So, in this episode, I’m sharing how to know if the R.E.A.D.Y. for School Academy is right for you, who I created it for, and who wouldn’t be a good fit.
My R.E.A.D.Y. for School Academy has been around for a while now, but I’m still receiving many questions from teachers wondering if it’s the right fit for them. I’ve compiled the 12 most common questions I’ve received regarding the academy and am going to go over them with you today. The questions include recommended grade level or subject area, when the best time to buy the program is, if the program will help with classroom management needs or parent concerns, and knowing the difference between the academy and the Classroom Management Club. I answer all of these, plus more, to help make sure this investment is right for you.
After creating the R.E.A.D.Y. for School Academy with you in mind, I’m so proud of the relief it has given to thousands of teachers who are just starting out, changing grades, schools, districts, or veteran teachers wanting a refresh of their classroom environment. The words of encouragement I share, along with other students who have benefited from this program, I hope you find the academy is an appropriate and wise investment in your classroom.
I hope this information is helpful as you prepare for your first, second, or third year of teaching. Until next time, remember, just because you're a beginning elementary teacher, there's no need for you to struggle like one.
