Show Notes:
Friends, I have so many exciting, new, and fun things I want to share with you! So many big moments have been happening in both my personal and professional life that I finally have the opportunity to share all about them. But before I get to them, there’s an important message that has been consistent throughout each one of these experiences, which is the power of positivity.
I speak about positivity in each of my podcast episodes, but sometimes choosing to be positive during a difficult time in your life or during the overwhelm as a beginning teacher can be difficult. When you’re in the thick of it, or what’s called the disillusionment phase, nothing seems to be going your way and it feels impossible to notice the good.
There’s a significant experience in my life where the possible seemed impossible, but I’m here to share that we’re now on the other side! I want this to be a reminder that even though you’re tired and stressed, the next step from disillusionment is the rejuvenation phase. This coming up for air moment can happen for you in just a few weeks during winter break. During this time, rest and take a break from school and come back refreshed with a new perspective to start 2024.
While in this episode I take an opportunity to share some exciting moments that are happening in my life professionally and personally, it’s also a reminder in the power of positivity. As a beginning teacher, this first semester of teaching has taken a lot out of you, but it’s important to use this upcoming break to give yourself space and fill yourself back up again to come back to the classroom with renewed hope and perspective.
Among the many new and exciting things happening in my life is a gift I want to give you! The last week of December I’m hosting a live event called Your Classroom Management Reset: Love Teaching More in 2024. This is a free event where each day I’m focusing on one area of classroom management and mindset shifts. You’ll get practical strategies, takeaways, and support for a new or refined 2024!
I hope this information is helpful as you prepare for your first, second, or third year of teaching. Until next time, remember, just because you're a beginning elementary teacher, there's no need for you to struggle like one.
