I’m always amazed at how much education changes, even in just a short period of time. If we look back 10 years ago, technology didn’t have a presence in the classroom and was often looked at as a negative. However, in today’s world, technology is a constant in our lives, and its impact is growing rapidly. So, how can we continue to utilize technology to positively benefit our students?
The use of technology in the classroom has come a long way, but it can still be overwhelming knowing what to use to develop students’ academic skills. And as you know, all your students are at different skill levels, their needs are different, and how you can support them varies. But by incorporating technology into your classroom, you can diversify your students’ needs. So, in today’s episode, I’m sharing strategies on how to differentiate using technology with your students.
Each of the tips that are used for differentiation using technology can help you personalize instruction and keep your students engaged in their learning. There are so many online platforms that can assist you in differentiation that I break down and explain each of the 10 strategies. And while technology is often used during lessons, I provide many ways technology can be used as enrichment or after your whole group lesson.
There are so many positive benefits to using technology in your classroom, especially when it comes to differentiation. With so many diverse needs of your students, technology is a helpful tool you can use to meet those needs while keeping your students engaged and having fun at the same time. So, implement these 10 strategies to seamlessly incorporate technology and differentiate learning to meet the needs of all your students.
I hope this information is helpful as you prepare for your first, second, or third year of teaching. Until next time, remember, just because you're a beginning elementary teacher, there's no need for you to struggle like one.
