Show Notes:
I want to share this week’s quick hack with you, which is especially helpful with COVID still being in our lives. It’s called a Hand Sanitizer Bathroom Pass and here’s how it works:
First, use a container of hand sanitizer with a pump as your bathroom pass. You can even put a cute label on it that says hand sanitizer bathroom pass! ππΌ
Then, when students need to go to the bathroom, they take the hand sanitizer to their desk and leave it there. When they come back from the bathroom, they get a squirt and put the hand sanitizer back to its regular place in the classroom. That way, you always know who's out of the classroom and you build in the habit of children washing their hands every single time they come back from the bathroom.
I think we’d all agree that there are very few positive things that have come out of Covid, but getting kids into a more solid and regular routine for keeping their hands clean may be one of them!
Templates for this hack are now available inside Dr. Lori's Dollar Store! Just click the picture below to grab them for only $1.00. π

I hope this information is helpful as you prepare for your first, second, or third year of teaching. Until next time, remember, just because you're a beginning elementary teacher, there's no need for you to struggle like one.
